Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Sadiqi Station collects, why, and what you can do about it. We wrote it in plain language. If you have questions, email us at sultanelajou1@gmail.com.

1. Who we are

Sadiqi Station is a crowdsourced mobile app that helps Moroccan drivers find the best fuel prices (SP95, Gasoil, GPL). The app is published by Sultan Alajou (auto-entrepreneur, Morocco). Contact: sultanelajou1@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use the app:

Account (optional): if you sign up, we store your email address, password (hashed), and username. Without an account, the app runs in guest mode and your data stays on your device.
Location (optional, "while in use"): if you allow it, we read your GPS only while you're using the app — to show nearby stations and tie your reports to the right pump. We do not track you in the background.
Price reports: when you report a price, we save the station, fuel type, price, timestamp, and — if signed in — your user ID.
Local usage stats: points, badges, tank size, alerts — stored only on your device using your OS's secure storage.
Push token (optional): if you enable price alerts, we store your device's Expo push token so we can send the matching notification. You can disable this anytime in your phone settings.

3. What we do NOT collect

No contacts, calendar, photos, or microphone access.
No background location tracking.
No advertising SDKs, no ads, and no ad tracking — we do not use an advertising identifier (IDFA).
No selling data to third parties. Ever.

4. Why we collect it

Show you nearby stations and current prices (location, reports).
Let you earn points and track your contributions (account).
Notify you when a price hits your target (alerts + push token).
Improve data quality (community consensus).

5. Who sees your data

We use the following processors. Each has its own privacy commitments:

Supabase (database, authentication) — data hosted on AWS, EU/US regions. https://supabase.com/privacy
Expo / EAS (app updates + notifications). https://expo.dev/privacy
Apple App Store / Google Play (distribution).

The app includes a news feed about oil markets generated by a third-party AI model (Anthropic). No personal data is sent to that model — it only receives a request to summarize public news.

6. How long we keep data

Account + price reports: as long as your account exists. You can request deletion anytime (see § 8).
Local data (stats, alerts): as long as the app stays installed. Uninstalling removes all local data.

7. Security

Communications with our servers are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text). Database access is protected by Row Level Security: you can only read or modify your own data. If you spot a vulnerability, email us immediately.

8. Your rights

Under Moroccan law 09-08 on personal data protection and equivalent international practices, you have the right to:

Access your data.
Correct or delete it.
Withdraw consent (notifications, location) at any time.
Export your data in a readable format.

9. Children

The app is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes we'll notify you in the app.
